In a significant development, the Tamil Nadu government, in the presence of Chief Minister MK Stalin, signed MoUs with global giants Jabil and Rockwell Automation in Chicago on September 9, 2024. The agreements, worth Rs 2,666 crore, will generate 5,365 jobs. Jabil, a Fortune 500 electronics manufacturing leader, will invest Rs 2,000 crore to establish a unit in Tiruchirappalli, creating 5,000 jobs. Rockwell Automation will expand its electronics unit in Kanchipuram with a Rs 666 crore investment.
