Maersk Opens Eco-Friendly Logistics Park in Jeddah, Enhancing Saudi Arabia’s Global Connectivity

In a significant boost for the Middle East’s logistics sector, A.P. Moller – Maersk (Maersk) has officially inaugurated its largest single-site Logistics & Services facility at Jeddah Islamic Port, Saudi Arabia. Spanning 225,000 square meters and backed by a $250 million investment, the state-of-the-art logistics park is poised to enhance the region’s supply chain capabilities and strengthen Saudi Arabia’s role in global trade.

Aligned with Saudi Vision 2030, the facility will act as a key hub for integrated logistics solutions, connecting ocean, land, and air transport. His Excellency Engineer Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser, Minister of Transport and Logistics Services, underscored the park’s importance in boosting trade, exports, and port efficiency. Additionally, the site incorporates sustainability initiatives, including 32,000 solar panels that will generate 70% of its electricity, advancing Maersk’s goal of achieving Net Zero emissions by 2040.
