The capesize bulker CAMELLIA DREAM has been retrofitted with rotor sails, marking a significant step towards sustainable shipping. Japan-based Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL) and charterer Vale International announced the retrofit, which aims to reduce fuel consumption and emissions by 6-10%. The vessel, now equipped with two Norsepower rotor sails, has begun its maiden voyage post-retrofit, reflecting both companies’ commitment to sustainability in line with global environmental goals.
