By Friday afternoon, the storm will have reached Puducherry and is expected to proceed west-northwest until becoming a low pressure system over Southeast Bay of Bengal by Friday, December 6. As a result, the Meteorological Department predicted that starting on December 7th night, heavy rains would likely fall in seven districts of Tamil Nadu. The south coast of Andhra Pradesh is also anticipated to have severe rainfall on December 7 along with Puducherry and Karaikal. From December 4 to December 6, there were light to moderate downpours on the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
