Littoral Communications inaugurated the 7th event of the year, Littoral Maritime Awards 2022

On October 19, 2022, Littoral Communications inaugurated the award ceremony, the Littoral Maritime Awards 2022 at Taj Lands’ End, Mumbai. This was the seventh event of the year for Littoral Communications.

Mr. Deepak Shetty, I.R.S. (Retd.), a former secretary to the Indian government and director general of shipping, was the evening’s main guest.

Deepak Shetty, Raja Vaiz, Sanjam Gupta, Deepam Rastogi, and Dr. Anand Raj lit the lamp to start the celebration.

The welcoming address was delivered by Captain Raj Kumar, Deputy Director of NAMAC, after the lamp lighting, and the award ceremony came next.

The distinguished members of the maritime sector chose the recipients of the Littoral Maritime Awards were Cmd. (R) Sulakshan Sharma, Capts. Raj Kumar, D.K. Singh, Kannan Rajarathnam, Siddharth Sharma, and Mahendra Kalantri made up the five-person jury panel.

Best Emerging Port of the Year went to V. O. Chidambaranar Port Trust, while Ship Agent of the Year – Cruise went to JM Baxi & Co. and Ship Building Company of the Year went to Mizzen Marine.

Sanjam Sahi Gupta received the prize in the diversity and equalities category, while Kushhbo Singh received the Women Star of the Year award, Deepam Rastogi received the Education & Training Award, and Lavina Kripalani received the Marine Lawyer of the Year Award.

The award for the best mariner wellness trainer and counsellor of the year went to Dr. Deepti Mankard, who was followed by Shradha Ghole in the category for the best people expert of the year. Monica Damania, Saurabh Sinha, and Ram Keshari received the awards for Personality of the Year, Young Person of the Year, and The Emerging Ship Management Company of the Year, respectively.

After the award ceremony, the chief guest, Shri. Deepak Shetty I.R.S. (Retd. ), former secretary to the government of India and director general of shipping, delivered a speech. He was followed by Ms. Shreelekha Anuraj, who gave a brief introduction to her brand- child Dharohar by Jaasritha. This was followed by an exhibition of Indra Mohan Prasad’s Finesse Art of Presentation.

Raja Vaiz, Chairman of Littoral Communications, presented the vote of gratitude as the evening came to a close. He congratulated the winners and expressed gratitude to the speakers, sponsors, and performers for helping to make the event a success, including L &T Shipbuilding, V. O. Chidambaranar Port Trust, Mizzen Marine Pvt. Ltd., JM Baxi & Co., WISTA, Renuka Forwarding and Pvt. Ltd., Finesse Art of Presentation by Indra Mohan, Dharohar by Jaasritha Ms. Shreelekha.
Bhairavi Mamania served as the event’s moderator.

In December, Littoral Communications will also host the UAE Shipping Summit 2022 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
