AP, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry to receive rains next three days due to depression

The depression that has developed in the South Andaman Sea has prompted a warning from the Indian Meteorological Department that it may soon intensify into a cyclone. By Wednesday, it will have arrived, according to the message. Due to its effects, the storm will make landfall on December 8 in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and neighboring Andhra Pradesh. It will rain a lot throughout this storm. Till Thursday, there will be strong winds along Tamil Nadu’s east coast.

By Friday afternoon, the storm will have reached Puducherry and is expected to proceed west-northwest until becoming a low pressure system over Southeast Bay of Bengal by Friday, December 6. As a result, the Meteorological Department predicted that starting on December 7th night, heavy rains would likely fall in seven districts of Tamil Nadu. The south coast of Andhra Pradesh is also anticipated to have severe rainfall on December 7 along with Puducherry and Karaikal. From December 4 to December 6, there were light to moderate downpours on the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Due to the erratic weather, the IMD has recommended fishermen not to go fishing in the Bay of Bengal and Andaman Sea for the foreseeable future.

According to the report, the beaches of South Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and the Gulf of Mannar may also experience damage from December 7 to December 9. The majority of the Northeast’s maximum temperatures will remain above average through mid-December, according to the Meteorological Department. According to the report, many areas of the nation will continue to experience severe air pollution for some time.
